What is ABetterSociety.Info, Inc. About?

 

The title of our non-profit’s website tells what we are about. We provide insights into how to improve our social world.

We begin by discussing our greatest challenge in the United States today in 2018. That challenge involves achieving a society that reflects the following words found in our Declaration of Independence. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

In the following sections we further refine our focus on achieving Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream that people will be judged based on their character instead of the color of their skin. But we expand this focus on achieving a society in which people will be judged based on their character instead of their skin color and/or ethnicity. For example, it is possible for a Caucasian to be Hispanic or another ethnicity. There was a time when employment offers read, “Help Wanted: Irish Need Not Apply.”

Our first section briefly outlines some of the social problems that we consider to be symptoms of fundamental challenges relating to Black Americans. Too many efforts to achieve Dr. King’s dream have gone astray, resulting in new problems that did not exist prior to the mid-1960’s.

Our second section discusses identifying and addressing fundamental challenges mostly relating to Black Americans. When these challenges are successfully addressed the systematic problems will eventually go away. This seems unlikely but is based on tried and true approaches to bring about organizational improvements. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Figure out what causes the small stuff and address them. The small stuff is being caused by the fundamental issues.

Our third section briefly outlines some of the social problems relating to immigration, both legal and illegal.

Our fourth section discusses identifying and addressing fundamental challenges relating to Hispanic Americans and others.

An additional section lists types of talks Joe is available to provide groups. They include a variety of topics dealing with social issues.

Two other sections provide information for donating in support our efforts. We are recognized by the IRS as a non-profit. Your generous donations are tax deductible.

Additional sections dealing with other aspects of improving our social world will be added later. Other website on related topics may be added.
